Imprint Systems
For over six decades, Bomanite has offered design professionals a virtually limitless palette of textures, and patterns. Bomanite gives you provides more than 400 patterns and custom tooling options with a wide variety of standard and custom coloring options. You can choose from many natural textures including slate, granite, limestone, sandstone, cobblestone, and used brick. When you specify architectural paving, accept no substitutes.
Exposed Aggregate Sytems
Bomanite Exposed Aggregate Systems bring the vintage decorative concrete option back into the forefront of the industry with innovative systems, longer-lasting products, and a variety of mix designs that combine the durability you need with the beauty you desire. Exposed aggregate finishes have been around since anyone can remember; the practical design option that was never too flashy, sometimes uneven and always lost its appeal as the embedded aggregates “popped out” of the finish over time.
But that was then. Today, with new technology and inventive products, novel exposed aggregate finishing options have emerged from The Bomanite Company to breathe new life into the aged decorative concrete technique. Topping Systems
Bomanite Toppings Systems is a revolutionary approach to designing with architectural concrete. Comprising of Patène Artectura, Micro-Top, Micro-Top XT, Micro-Top ST, Thin-Set, Florspartic 100, Broadcast Aggregate, Broadcast Flake, Bomanite Toppings Systems is capable of turning any stable substrate into a prize-winning work of art at a fraction of the time and cost normally associated with elaborate forming and design work.
Bomanite Toppings Systems can refurbish old, worn out surfaces and turn them into new and exciting expanses of color, pattern and texture. Bomanite’s Topping Systems can be used on interior or exterior, horizontal or vertical surfaces. New construction, where complex design and color choices require costly multiple forming and pouring phases, benefits from Bomanite Topping Systems’ inexpensive and time saving application methods. With the tight deadlines and budget constraints often faced by architects and designers, Bomanite Toppings Systems are the perfect solution.
Custom Polishing Systems
The patented technology of the Bomanite Custom Polishing System, paired with our long-established color and craftsmanship, delivers the industry’s best concrete floor finish. While the polish chemically reacts with the concrete to lock in the color, the mechanical application closes the surface to keep out contaminants. One application, permanent results. Lustrous color, protected by a tight, beautiful sheen.
Available in finishes from satin to gloss, the Bomanite Custom Polishing System offers exceptional resistance to slipping, abrasion and impact. Finished surfaces also repel water and oil and are dust-proof. Superior to limited-life coatings, this finish does not require replacement, recoating or waxing. The non-toxic, non-flammable and odorless application is environmentally friendly. And surface care is user-friendly as routine cleaning will maintain luster.
Pervious Concrete Systems
Grasscrete, a Bomanite Pervious Concrete System, is a cast-in place, monolithic, pervious concrete pavement that is continuously reinforced to provide superior structural integrity.
Bomanite Grasscrete is the green alternative to standard concrete surfaces providing a variety of landscape solutions while maintaining a sustainable green product design used for emergency access lanes, delivery access routes, overflow parking areas, and for intermittent drainage channels that help prevent erosion. Grasscrete has been a Bomanite System for over 20 years with installations throughout North America in all climate types. Achieved through the use of two differing techniques and three differing tools known as “formers”, Grasscrete is void structured concrete – a pervious pavement system that can be cast using proven mix designs with no potential for freeze-thaw or clogging issues. Grasscrete can be used as an exposed utilitarian product for functional applications or as a concealed system with vegetation such as grass or native ground cover installed over the concrete. This system allows you to mitigate drainage issues while maintaining strong structural integrity that allows for some of the heaviest vehicles to operate unencumbered.
The first application technique incorporates a reusable tool that creates the voids by having concrete placed in and around the tool formers prior to being pulled from the concrete slab. The second technique is using a single-use former that is placed on the sub grade with the concrete placed over the formers and the voids opened after the concrete hardens. The single-use formers are available in an ABS plastic former and the newly developed bio-degradable former, know as the Molded Pulp Former, that is made with post consumer recycled components.
Grasscrete offers the ability to provide year-round access for a variety of applications requiring structural paving surfaces without compromising the aesthetics of the exterior landscaping. Grasscrete is a very sustainable product that can employ a large recycled material content both in the form of aggregate and binder such as fly ash or slag—its lifespan is indefinite and can be recycled itself to form the aggregates for future Grasscrete applications; providing Specifiers with a truly sustainable, eco-friendly system to accommodate a variety of needs.
